About Me

As a young boy, I idolized my father and his musical talents. He would play his 1958 Gibson acoustic guitar, and I would watch, mesmerized by his skilled hands. Coming from a family of musicians who take their music seriously, I knew performing was not for the faint-hearted. As I grew older, I became restless and yearned for new experiences. So, at eighteen, I joined the United States Coast Guard and spent four years in Search and Rescue.

After receiving an honorable discharge, I settled in Bakersfield, CA, working in the GETTY oil fields and eventually becoming a top-notch crane operator. However, after the oil fields shut down, I became an electrical apprentice, earned my Journeyman's card, and worked in the trade for over three decades. I even started my own business, DLC Electric, and worked tirelessly to keep it afloat.

But, as I approached sixty years old, I realized I still had a passion for writing, a talent I had honed my entire life. So, I enrolled in classes at Viterbo University to further develop my skills. I am building websites and hoping to find clients who appreciate my writing. It has been a long journey, but I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences that have brought me to where I am today.
